Anderson Thees
MD and co-Founder Redpoint
Anderson Thees is a Founding Partner of Redpoint Previously, Anderson was the CEO of Apontador, the leading local search website and geolocation webservices provider in Brazil. Prior to Apontador, Anderson was an Investment Principal at Naspers/MIH, responsible for Latin America, where he invested in leading companies like BuscaPe and Movile, and before that at Eccelera, a local venture capital fund. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software developer both in Brazil and Switzerland.

Anderson received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Campinas and a M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
Manoel Lemos
Partner at Redpoint
Manoel is also the founder and chief-maker of, the first portal dedicated to the Brazilian Maker Movement community, which aims to promote the maker culture in Brazil and be the main hub for Brazilian makers to exchange ideas, collaborate on and show projects.

Previously, Manoel was the Chief Digital Officer of Abril Media, the second largest media conglomerate in Brazil. Prior to Abril, Manoel was the CEO and co-founder of WebCo the first Brazilian start-up focused on the development of Web 2.0 products with a strong culture inspired by Silicon Valley. Before WebCo, Manoel founded and developed single-handedly BlogBlogs, the world’s largest indexer of Portuguese written blogs. BlogBlogs was then acquired by Abril / Naspers and originated WebCo. Before BlogBlogs, Manoel was the CTO for Hypercom Brasil, a subsidiary of Hypercom Corporation in the USA and a leading provider of payment solutions for the credit card and banking industries. Earlier in his career Manoel worked as software engineer, solutions architect and Internet specialist for local companies, the Government of Brazil and the European Community.

Manoel received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UNICAMP where he also did several years of research and has an incomplete masters degree in high performance computing. He also holds an ACE from the Sloan Business School from MIT and executive education on Strategy for Media Companies at Harvard Business School and Venture Capital at Haas Business School in University of California Berkeley.
Jeff Brody

Jeff Brody is a Founding Partner of Redpoint Ventures. Jeff is focused on investments in technology companies spanning both
enterprise and consumer customers. He currently serves on the board of directors of 55social,HomeAway (AWAY), Kodiak Networks, MobiTV, shoes4you, Tantalus, The Receivables Exchange, Viajanet and Xango. Jeff was an early investor and director of Danger (acquired by Microsoft), Fraud Sciences (acquired by eBay), LifeSize Communications (acquired by Logitech),Concur Technologies (CNQR), Loopnet (LOOP), ZING Systems (acquired by Dell), GetThere (GTHR), mySimon (acquired by CNET), NextCard (NXCD),Onebox (acquired by OpenWave), ViaVideo (acquired by Polycom), and Web TV(acquired by Microsoft). Before co-founding Redpoint, Jeff was a general partner with Brentwood Venture Capital, a firm he joined in 1994. Prior to Brentwood, Jeff was at Comdisco Ventures and Crosspoint Venture Partners. Early in his career, Jeff co-founded a mobile telecommunications company and worked as a field engineer for Schlumberger Ltd. in Europe and Africa.

Mathias Schilling
MD and co-Founder
Mathias Schilling is co-founder and Managing Partner of Mathias currently oversees the firms’ investments in Groupon, Angie’s List, Sonos, Yume Networks, AppFolio, Eucalyptus, Xango, and many others. Mathias started his career at Bertelsmann, Europe’s largest media company, working on a number of M&A and joint venture transactions including AOL Studios, Amazon, Barnes & and CompuServe. In 1997 he joined the founding team that spun out of Bertelsmann to create venture capital firm BV Capital and became its Managing Partner in 2004. After raising its fourth generation of Funds in 2012 BV Capital became e.Ventures to emphasize the firm's unified international structure of dedicated funds in five geographies managed by one global team.

Mathias was born and raised in Switzerland and is a German citizen. He holds a Master in Finance from St. Gallen University, one of Europe's leading business schools. Mathias is a Director of the Dignity Fund, an innovative fund mobilizing investment dollars for Microfinance and small businesses in developing countries and serves on the Board of the Discovery Museum in San Francisco.
Albano Gonçalves
interim CFO as Redpoint
Albano has extensive experience managing back office operations of investment firms in Brazil, having worked for the last 7 years managing Naspers’ Brazil office, and for another 7 years prior managing the back office of Eccelera, a venture capital fund based in Sao Paulo. The aggregate portfolio he oversaw includes over 40 companies, including varios reference deals in Brazil. He holds a B.A. in Finance from FAAP and executive graduate degrees from Getulio Vargas Foundation and Business School Sao Paulo.
Ann Williams
Venture Partner at Redpoint
As founder and CEO of Okto for 10 years, Ann led the Brazilian mobile gateway and data rating company from start-up to acquisition in 2010, maintaining profitability amid extremely rapid growth and telecom market changes. Beyond excellence in service, Okto was known for it’s positive culture and off the charts retention rates, placing among the top 10 in the Best Place to Work Top 50 IT and Telecom Companies and among the top 75 in the Best Place to Work Top 100 Companies in 2008.
Before Okto, Ann worked as a consultant with Diamond Cluster, Deloitte and USAID as well as launched and led programs for AmeriCorps, the United State’s domestic Peace Corps.
Ann is a graduate of Stanford University and holds an MBA and MPAff from the McCombs School at the University of Texas at Austin.
Luciana Gherini
Communication and Marketing initiatives at Redpoint
Luciana has twenty years of experience in marketing and administration in the Nutrition and Personal Care (Direct Sales), Consulting, Education and Research segments. She was an early employee of Herbalife Brasil, and participated in the growth of the company over 10 years, the last 8 serving as Marketing Manager for Latin America. Before that, she worked for four years as an Executive Assistant for McKinsey and Company.
Luciana holds an undergraduate degree in Art from FMU and a graduate degree in Marketing from ESPM.
Rodrigo Baer
Principal at Redpoint
Rodrigo joined the investment team in June 2014, adding to 5 years of his prior career dedicated to tech investing in Latin America. Before joining Redpoint, Rodrigo advised early stage and middle market tech companies in Brazil, with Centria Partners. Prior to that, he co-founded one of Brazil’s top Venture Capital funds, Warehouse Investimentos, where he led deal-sourcing efforts. Rodrigo also worked for Aurora Funds, a Healthcare Services venture capital fund in NC, was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and a two-time entrepreneur. Early in his career, he was a management consultant to telecom players in Latin America with Value partners.

Rodrigo received a B.A. in Business from the FGV and a M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
Sergio Quintella
Controller at Redpoint
Sergio has 17 years of experience in accounting, finance, and strategic planning, both as executive at large financial institutions and as a co-founder of a brokerage firm where he was responsible for the back-office operations. Sergio has a BA degree from Instituto Mauá in Brazil, and a M.Sc. in Industrial and Financial Economics from University of Gothenburg, in Sweden. Sergio supports the Redpoint e.Ventures financial and investment teams by bringing best practices in control and planning to the portfolio companies.
Nicholas Reise
Principal Redpoint
Nicholas is a Principal with Redpoint, which he joined as an Associate in January 2012. Previously he was a Summer Associate at DFJ-FIR, the Brazilian affiliate of American venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Nicholas began his career at Citi, where he structured leveraged finance transactions for Latin American companies. He first moved to Brazil in 2008.

Nicholas holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute, focused on Latin America and Portuguese. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and dabbles in Swahili.
