Mathias Schilling is co-founder and Managing Partner of e.ventures. Mathias currently oversees the firms’ investments in Groupon, Angie’s List, Sonos, Yume Networks, AppFolio, Eucalyptus, Xango, and many others. Mathias started his career at Bertelsmann, Europe’s largest media company, working on a number of M&A and joint venture transactions including AOL Studios, Amazon, Barnes & Noble.com and CompuServe. In 1997 he joined the founding team to create the venture capital firm BV Capital (today known as e.ventures) and became its Managing Partner in 2004.
Mathias was born and raised in Switzerland and is a German citizen. He holds a Master in Finance from St. Gallen University, one of Europe’s leading business schools. Mathias is a Director of the Dignity Fund and serves on the Board of the Discovery Museum in San Francisco.
